Pottery Expo @ Warrandyte 2007

The 2007 Pottery Expo @ Warrandyte will feature seven visiting artists from the Association D’Argiles, of the Rhone Alpes region of France.

Our guest artists are

Jean Marc Plantier

A regular at the Warrandyte Pottery Expo, this exhibition provides the chance for Jean Marc to exhibit what he does best, dramatic in form, subtle in decorative technique, risk taking in the raku firing. These pieces are never seen at Warrandyte, as fire restrictions prevent their firing in summer in Australia. These pieces are made in France.

Yves will make a welcome return to Australia after six years. He is known for his “terre vernissee’, using traditional techniques with terracotta, white slip and oxide decoration. His fine decoration and sgrafitto complement his beautifully thrown functional pieces.
